If you have not used PNB’s savings account for years and the account balance is at zero, then you should be alert, otherwise your such accounts may be closed. Punjab National Bank had informed its customers some time ago that they should get their account KYC done. For this, the bank has set the deadline as June 30, 2024. After that such PNB accounts can be closed.

You can get your KYC done in any branch of Punjab National Bank with the necessary documents. Apart from this, customers can use Internet Banking Services (IBS) / PNB One for KYC through mobile.

PNB said that accounts linked to demat, lockers with active standing instruments, student accounts with customers below 25 years of age, accounts of minors, accounts opened for specific purposes such as PMJJBY/PMSBY/SSY/API, DBT and accounts frozen by order of any other statutory authority will not be closed under this process.
