Punjab National Bank (PNB) has asked customers to update KYC details by March 31, otherwise account operations may be stopped. ID proof, address proof, photo, PAN, income proof and mobile number information will have to be updated. Customers can update KYC from PNB One app, internet banking, email or branch.
A new notification has been issued by Punjab National Bank (PNB) for customers. In this, users have been asked to update KYC details by April 10. This decision has been taken keeping in mind the RBI guidelines. PNB’s new advisory has asked for KYC update by March 31. Customers have to ensure that it has to be updated with the help of ID proof, address proof, existing photograph, PAN. Form 60 and mobile number will also have to be updated for income proof.
This work can also be completed with the help of PNB One and Internet Banking Service (IBS). KYC details can also be completed with the help of registered e-mail or branch. Users have to update the information.
How to update with PNB One App?
- Download the PNB One app from Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
- Log in using your credentials.
- Go to the KYC update section in the app.
- Check if your KYC update is pending.
- If KYC update appears pending, click on ‘Update KYC’.
- Approve your identity through OTP-based Aadhaar identification.
- Enter the OTP sent to the registered mobile number linked to your Aadhaar.
- Make sure your mobile number is linked to Aadhaar for OTP verification.
Be cautious of fraud links
PNB has warned customers against clicking on any unverified link or downloading files from unknown sources, especially for KYC update. The bank has said that use only the link coming from any official source. The bank also said that if the KYC update is not completed within the stipulated time limit, the operation of the account can also be stopped. For assistance, customers can visit their nearest PNB branch or get information on the official website (https://www.pnbindia.in/).
Can KYC be done through internet banking as well?
KYC can also be updated with the help of internet banking. For this, you have to go to the website and login. After doing this, you have to upload the documents online. Once the documents are verified, the KYC process will be completed. After logging in online, you can do this work easily.
