Political controversy continues in Rajasthan, speculation about Sachin Pilot forming new party

Former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot has rebelled against the Congress. Pilot is staying in a hotel in Haryana with his supporting MLAs. On the news of joining BJP, Pilot himself has said that he will not join BJP. After this there is a discussion in the political corridors that pilots can also form a new party. But the big question is that if Sachin Pilot forms a separate party, will his party be able to become an alternative to the Congress and BJP by making inroads into the minds of voters. 

If we take a look at the existence of parties in the history of Rajasthan, small and regional parties have not made their place in Rajasthan since independence. For the last four decades, there is a direct competition between Congress and BJP in the state. The choice of these two parties is yet to form a new party.

If we look at the political history of Rajasthan assembly elections, there is no future of regional and small parties here. They disappear from the political scene after one or two elections. In the last assembly election, 86 parties tried their luck in Rajasthan. Of these, there were 6 national and 7 state-level parties. Only 7 of them won.

Three leaders of BJP formed separate parties in 7 years, now it is the turn of Congress
to revolt with parties in Rajasthan, and in the last 7 years , three leaders have formed separate parties by rebelling against BJP. These include Rajya Sabha MP Kirori Lal Meena, Lok Sabha MP Hanuman Beniwal and former minister Ghanshyam Tiwari.

Kirori Lal Meena: In 2013, BJP leader Kirori Lal Meena contested the election by forming his own party. Kirori Lal’s National People’s Party contested 134 seats and won just 4 seats. But joined the BJP back before the 2018 assembly elections. 

Hanuman Beniwal : Beniwal contested 58 seats with his influence in the state by forming a new party named RLP in the 2018 assembly elections, winning only 3 seats. After which we tied up with the NDA in the Lok Sabha elections in 2019.

Ghanshyam Tiwari: In the 2018 assembly elections, Tiwari broke away from the BJP and formed his Bharat Vahini Party. Despite contesting 63 seats, the party did not win a single seat. After which Ghanshyam joined the Congress during the Tiwari Lok Sabha elections 2019.
