With the help of this, you can get information regarding various small savings schemes run by the post office.
This is a fully computerized service. Customers can get detailed information about small savings schemes such as PPF, NSC, Sukanya Samriddhi (SSY) or other schemes from IVR. India Post has issued a toll-free number 18002666868 for this. By calling from the registered mobile number, a customer can get complete information about his account of any scheme.
How to check balance like this
If you want to check the account of PPF or any other scheme, then first dial 18002666868 from your registered mobile number. Press 1 to get information in Hindi. For English press number 2. After this, press 5 to know the account balance of any scheme. After that enter the account number in the phone. Then press hash (#). After this you will be told your account balance on the phone.
How to do card block
If you have a post office ATM and want to block the card, then this work will also be done through IVR. Dial 18002666868 to close the ATM card. Then press 6. After that enter your card number. After that the account number has to be entered. Then press 3. Apart from this, you will have to press 2 numbers for any kind of banking service. At the same time, for other services, number 7 will have to be pressed.
