Post Office Savings Account: Through the Internet Banking facility of the post office, customers can take advantage of the transaction between themselves and third party post office savings accounts.
Internet banking facilities are provided by India Post to the post office savings account holders. You can transfer funds between you and third party post office savings accounts by using the post office internet banking facility. It is part of Department of Posts. Apart from this, you are given many other facilities through this, such as you can deposit money in PPF and Sukanya Samriddhi account. Before taking advantage of this, know some important rules.
According to the India Post website indiapost.gov.in, to avail the facilities of internet banking, account holders must have a valid active single or joint B savings account with sub post office CBS or head post office. Branch Post Office accounts are not eligible to avail this facility. For this, if you have not already done KYC, then for this you have to provide the necessary KYC documents, mobile number, email address and PAN.
How to register in India Post Internet Banking
1. For this you have to fill the form by going to the nearest post office. After this, you will receive an SMS alert on your given mobile number within 48 hours.
2. After this you have to go to the DOP Internet Banking Portal. Here you have to click on the New User Activation option on the home page.
3. Now enter the Customer ID and Account ID here.
4. After filling all the required details, set your Internet Banking Login ID and Transaction Password.
5. After this you have to log in and set the password along with the security question and answer.
