if you have an old bank account that you did not open under the Jan Dhan Yojana, then it is easy to convert it into this Jan Dhan account. For this, you have to go to the bank branch and apply for RuPay card, and after filling a form, your bank account will be transferred to Jan Dhan Yojana.
If you want to open a bank account under Jan Dhan Yojana, then you can open it in any bank branch or through a bank friend. Apart from this, to open an account under this scheme, download the form from any bank’s website and fill it completely. Also, attach the required document with that form and submit it to the bank. Your bank account will open immediately.

along with overdraft facility in Jan Dhan account, RuPay debit card is also provided. On this debit card, Rs 1 lakh is found in Accident Insurance free. At the same time, accident insurance on open Jan Dhan accounts has been increased to Rs 2 lakh after 28.8.2018. Apart from this, a free life insurance cover of Rs 30,000 is available on this card. This insurance will be available to those Jan Dhan account holders who have opened accounts between 15.8.2014 to 31.1.2015.
