Railway Recruitment 2024: This is a great opportunity for the youth who are looking for a job in Railways. For this, Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) has released vacancies for the posts of Group ‘C’ and then Group ‘D’. Candidates who are willing and eligible to apply for these posts can apply by visiting the official website of Indian Railways wcr.indianrailways.gov.in. Railways has started the application process for this.
Candidates who wish to get a job in Railways can now fulfill it through this recruitment. For this, candidates can apply on or before 19 October. Also, the candidates applying should first read all the things given below carefully.
Till what age can one apply in Railways
- Level 2 – Candidates who are applying for these posts, their minimum age limit should be 18 years and maximum age limit should be 30 years.
- Level 1- Minimum age limit should be 18 years and maximum age limit should be 33 years.
What is the eligibility to apply for these posts in Railways
Any candidate who is considering applying for a job in Railways should have passed class 10th from any recognized board or institute. Also, there should be an ITI certificate.
Salary received on selection in Railways
- Any candidate who is selected through RRC Recruitment 2024 will be paid the following as salary.
- Group ‘C’ Level-2- Rs 19900 to Rs 63200 under Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC
- Erstwhile Group ‘D’ Level-1- Rs 18000 to Rs 56900 will be paid through Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC.

Fee will have to be paid for filling the form
According to the official notification, whoever wants to apply for these posts, they will have to pay the following application fee.
- Application fee for General/OBC category candidates- Rs 500
- Application fee for SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen/Persons with Disabilities
- (PWD)/Female/Transgender/Minority candidates- Rs 500
- Application fee for Economically Backward Category- Rs 250
