If you want to cancel your RAC and Waiting List ticket, then you can cancel your ticket up to 30 minutes before the scheduled departure. In this, a cancellation charge of Rs 60 is levied in sleeper class while it is Rs 65 in AC. You get the rest of the money back.
This is the rule for confirmed ticket cancellation refund
You have made your reservation and your ticket is confirmed but due to some reason suddenly you had to cancel the plan, then in this situation you need to take special care. You need to follow the exact limit of cancellation of confirmed ticket as per railway rules. If you cancel the ticket in the right time, then you will have to pay less cancellation charge. Along with this, if you cancel the ticket 4 hours before the scheduled departure time of the train, then you will not get any kind of refund.
This is the rule of General Class (2S)
If a person has made his reservation in general class and wants to cancel the ticket, then he will have to pay a cancellation charge of Rs 60 per passenger. With this, the ticket can be canceled up to 48 hours before the departure of the train.
This is the rule of Sleeper Class
If a person has made his reservation in sleeper class, then he will have to pay 180 rupees per passenger cancellation. This cancellation is valid up to four hours before the start of the train.
This is the rule of AC Chair Car
If a person has made his reservation in AC Chair Car, First AC and Executive Class and he cancels the ticket, 240 rupees and GST will also be applicable along with it. Please note that there is no GST in sleeper class and general class.
