New Delhi The Railways has deployed 204 isolation coaches in four states in view of the rapidly increasing number of corona infects in the country and the lack of beds for treatment. 54 coaches have been sent to Shakurbasti Railway Station Maintenance Depot in Delhi. Two months ago, the Railways converted 5,000 non-air-conditioned coaches into Covid Care Centers. Due to lack of beds in Uttar Pradesh, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Delhi, they are now feeling the need.
70 coaches have been deployed at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Junction, Varanasi, Bhadohi, Faizabad, Saharanpur, Mirzapur and Jhansi in Uttar Pradesh. 54 coaches have been deployed at Shakurbasti Maintenance Depot in Delhi, 20 in Secunderabad, Kachiguda and Adilabad in Telangana and 20 in Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh. However, Uttar Pradesh had asked for 240 such coaches for 24 places, Telangana 60 and Delhi 10 coaches.

On May 31, 10 coaches with a capacity to hold 160 people were posted at Shakurbasti depot in Delhi. Now 44 more coaches have been deployed there. In these coaches, oxygen cylinders, blankets, medicines etc. are arranged for all those things which are required during isolation. According to the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health, mild cases of corona will be sent to these coaches, who have been advised for isolation.
In view of the increasing number of Corona patients in the country, Railways has started a system of increasing isolation beds at a rapid pace. In view of this, all trains running from Anand Vihar railway station will be closed from Tuesday. If you believe the station superintendent of Anand Vihar, Om Kumar, now these trains will run from Old Delhi railway station. He informed that isolation coaches will be installed on all platforms of Anand Vihar railway station. Corona infects will be kept in these coaches. Be aware that from June 1, three trains started operating from Anand Vihar every day.
