To prevent the spread of Corona infection (Covid-19), Central Railway has created a ‘Captain Arjun’ robot, it will conduct thermal screening of passengers at the railway station.

Mumbai. The Railway Protection Force (RPF) in Pune (Pune) has launched a robot on Friday in view of the ever increasing corona (Covid-19) cases in the country, this robot will do a thermal screening of the passenger at the railway station. The railway has named this robot as ‘Captain Arjun’. In fact, in view of the problems of passengers since Lockdown 4.0, the Railway Ministry ran several special trains, due to which the crowds started appearing again at the stations. This robot will protect any passenger from contact with other passengers.

The robot was inaugurated in an online ceremony, which was inaugurated by RPF General Manager Arun Kumar in Pune today. The ceremony was attended by General Manager of Central Railway Sanjeev Mittal, Chief Chief Safety Commissioner Atul Pathak and Pune Divisional Railway Manager Renu Sharma. Central Railway General Manager Sanjeev Mittal said, “Robotic Captain Arjun will protect passengers and employees from any possible infection and its surveillance will increase security.”

Arun Kumar told about the robot that the main reason for making it is to spread awareness among people about corona infection as well as to prevent passengers and RPF personnel from coming into contact with each other. In fact, in the last few days, army personnel got corona infected, most of which are from the state of Maharashtra.

how ‘Captain Arjun’ robot works
It will conduct thermal screening of all passengers going to and from the station. In this, motion sensors and state-of-the-art cameras have been installed for screening passengers. Along with this, speakers have been installed to spread awareness message on Kovid-19. Captain Arjun also has a sensor-based sanitizer and mask dispenser and can walk. If a passenger does not have a mask, this robot will come to the passenger and give him a mask and will also sanitize the hands. Not only this, we will also keep an eye on other social activities happening around the station.

The sensor will ring when the temperature is high
It takes only 5 seconds to check the body temperature of any passenger. If a passenger is infected with the corona or its body temperature is above normal, then the sensors installed in it will start ringing. Artificial intelligence is also used in this. Arun Kuma was told that at present it has been set up at Pune station but soon it will be kept at many stations to prevent the infection from growing.
