Railways Platform Closed: Work is going on to become a multi-modal transportation hub at Surat railway station. Under this, platform number 2 and 3 have been closed for 60 days from today. During this time, trains going from Surat to Mumbai and Vadodara will now be operated from Udhna railway station. 122 trains going from Surat to Mumbai and 79 trains going towards Vadodara have been diverted from Udhna station. To inform the passengers about this change, the railways has issued a QR code.
All information will be available here
With the help of this QR code, passengers will be able to get information about the diverted trains. Railways has sent this QR code to those customers whose database is available with the railways. Customers can easily get new information about trains by scanning the QR code in their mobile.
The station is developing rapidly
In this regard, Western Railway CPRO Vineet Abhishek said that the Multimodal Transportation Hub project is now progressing very fast and many works have already been completed on it. If you pay attention to this site, work is already going on on our service building and other related parts. An important and big part of this project is the development of the course area, which will be 145 feet long and 85 feet wide. One of our phases has already been completed for the development of this area, in which we had closed platform number 4 for a few days. Now platform number 4 has been restarted.
2 Platforms closed for 60 days
He further said that now in the next phase, platform number 2 and platform number 3 will be closed for 60 days. Due to the closure of these two platforms, we will need to shift some trains from Surat to another place. In total, 122 trains, which go towards Mumbai, and 79 trains, which go towards Vadodara, will be shifted from Surat. Apart from this, the trains will stop and be hosted at Surat station itself.
Use QR code
He told that we are using many methods to convey this information to the passengers. This includes social media, print and digital media, and also a QR code. On scanning this QR code, passengers will get accurate information about which train will stop in which direction, on which day, where and where it will not stop. This will not cause any confusion to the passengers about their journey and they will be able to plan their journey easily.
He told that such facilities will also be given to the passengers on Surat-Rudrana route, so that they will not face any inconvenience during the journey. We will also keep providing this information to the passengers through television channels, electronic media, and print media. Apart from this, we will also maintain access to the passengers through social media.
He said that we request you to support us in this new phase as you have supported us in the development of Surat station earlier, so that we can complete this project on time. It is very important for us to complete this project on time and only with your help we can complete it successfully.
