In view of the festivals, the Indian Railways has again given a new blow to the Indian passengers. In order to decongest the station during festival time, Indian Railways has now decided to charge 3 times the platform fee from the people coming directly to the station.

In India, it has become a common practice nowadays to increase the fee from place to place, often in the name of decongesting the crowd. The brunt of this has to be paid by the Indian public for a long time by loosening their pockets.

Ticket price increased 3 times from today

Apart from the passengers, now more money will be charged from those going to the railway platform. From October 5, platform tickets at major railway stations of Delhi-NCR including New Delhi will become three times more expensive. Delhi Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) has issued an order to increase the price of platform ticket of Rs 10 to Rs 30.

Railways adopted a new way of preventing conflict

Due to Navratri and Dussehra, more passengers are arriving at the railway stations than before, due to the coming Diwali, Chhath and other festivals, the stations will be crowded. Railway officials say that this decision has been taken keeping in mind the crowd during the festive days so that people do not reach the platform without any reason.

In previous years, the sale of platform tickets was banned during Diwali and Chhath due to heavy rush only passengers were allowed on the platform. During the Corona period, platform tickets were available for Rs 50.

Expensive platform tickets will be available at these stations

  • New Delhi,
  • Old Delhi,
  • Anand Vihar Terminal,
  • Hazrat Nizamuddin,
  • Delhi Sarai Rohilla and
  • Ghaziabad.
