Due to change in weather conditions, high vehicle emissions and burning of firecrackers, air quality has deteriorated in many cities of Maharashtra including Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune, Nashik. AQI of Uran was recorded at 322 and Mumbai at 122.
Let us tell you that AQI is divided into many categories according to the level and reading. AQI between 0-50 means good i.e. air is pure. Between 51-100 means air purity is satisfactory, between 101-200 is moderate, between 201-300 is poor, between 301-400 is very poor and between 401 to 500 is severe category.
