1000 years have passed since the birth of Vaishnava saint Ramanujacharya Swamy, who spoke for equality for the first time in India. A grand temple of Ramanujacharya is being built in Hyderabad. The total cost of the temple is more than 1000 crores. The specialty of the temple is that there will be two idols of Ramanujacharya here and both will be special.
The first statue is 216 feet high of Ashtadhatu, which has been installed, it has been named Statue of Equality. The second statue will be kept in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple, which will be made of 120 kg gold. Being built in Ramnagar, about 40 km from Hyderabad, this temple has many specialties.
No grand temple has yet been built for any saint of the Sanatan tradition. Ramanujacharya Swamy is the first saint to have such a big statue installed. Construction of the temple began in 2014. A large statue of Ramanujacharya is made in China. The cost of which is around 400 crores. This is the largest statue made of Ashtadhatu. It has been included in the Guinness Book of World Records.
Ramanujacharya lived 120 years, so 120 kg gold idol
There is a special reason behind the 120 kg gold idol of Ramanujacharya. According to the founder of the temple, Chinna Jiyar Swamy, Ramanujacharya Swami lived on the earth for 120 years. Therefore, an idol made of 120 kg gold is being installed.
Ramanujacharya Swamy first gave the message of equality. His contribution in the society has not been able to find the place to which he was entitled. Through this temple, his creative contribution to the building of the society will be shown.
The entire temple is being built in 45 acres, 25 million musical fountain
The Statue of Equality and Ramanujacharya Temple are being built on 45 acres of land. The original building of the temple is being built in an area of ​​about 1.5 lakh square feet. Which is 58 feet high. The Statue of Equality is placed on it. Musical fountains will be installed in this temple at a cost of about 25 crores. The story of Swami Ramanujacharya will also be narrated through them.
History will be told in 5 languages
Visitors to the temple will be able to get audio guides in 5 languages. Another language including English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu will be included in it. There will be all kinds of facilities here. Ramanujacharya’s entire life within the temple will be shown in pictures and videos. Also, a replica of the famous 108 Divya Desam of South India is also being built around this Statue of Equality.
Work on design for two years – Anand Sai
The Statue of Equality is designed by Anand Sai, an architect and art director of South Indian films. He says that he has spent nearly two years working on the design of this temple and the Statue of Equality. Pujya Chinna Jiyar Swami met several times on this. He was the one who gave me the concept of 108 Divya Desam. Worked with Swamiji for two years and then finalized the design. This temple will be one of the most beautiful and rare temples in the world due to its merits.
Who was Saint Ramanujacharya
Vaishnava saint Ramanujacharya was born in 1017 AD. He was the originator of the Vichitadvaita Vedanta. He was born in Tamil Nadu itself and took initiation from Alwar Yamunacharya in Kanchi. He took initiation of renunciation from a ascetic named Yatiraj of Srirangam. He propagated Vedanta and Vaishnavism by roaming all over India.
He also composed many Sanskrit texts. Among them, the Sribhashyam and the Vedanta collections were his most famous works. He committed murder in 1137 at the age of 120. Ramanujacharya was the first saint who spoke of devotion, meditation and keeping Vedanta away from caste bonds. Ramanujacharya was the first to speak of equality in religion, salvation and life.
