The Maharashtra Cabinet has passed a resolution demanding the conferment of the country’s highest civilian honour ‘Bharat Ratna’ to the late Ratan Tata. The resolution has demanded the Central Government to recommend the award of Bharat Ratna to veteran industrialist Ratan Tata. In fact, in a meeting today, the Maharashtra Cabinet has decided to propose the name of industrialist Ratan Tata for the Bharat Ratna award. The Maharashtra Cabinet also passed a condolence motion today.

What was said in the proposal?
The proposal said that entrepreneurship is an effective way for the development of society and by setting up new industries, the country can be taken on the path of progress and development. According to the proposal, Ratan Tata will always be remembered for his determination after the 26/11 terrorist attacks and his contribution of Rs 1,500 crore to the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund for the fight against the Kovid-19 epidemic. He opened all the hotels of the Tata Group for patients suffering from corona virus. The Cabinet pays tribute to Tata on behalf of the people of Maharashtra.
