Job in Tata Electronics: The giant tech company Apple has decided to withdraw from China and increase production in India. Indians are expected to get direct benefit from this. A report in the Economic Times claimed that Apple’s production in India can create up to 6 lakh jobs by the end of 2025. The report claimed that many jobs are being created by Apple increasing its work inside India. Apple also said that by March 2025, the number of people working directly with the company in India will increase to two lakh. About 70% of these will be women.

1.65 lakh job opportunities will be created

Let us tell you that Apple has signed a contract with three big companies. According to the report, Foxconn, Wistron (now Tata Electronics) and Pegatron have already created 80,872 job opportunities. Tata Group had acquired Wistron recently. After that, job opportunities have increased rapidly in this Tata Group company. Apart from this, companies like Salcomp, Motherson, Foxlink, Sunwoda, ATL and Jabil have also created about 84,000 jobs. After the launch of the new scheme in 2020, Apple and the companies working with it have created about 1.65 lakh job opportunities.

The aim was to create 2 lakh jobs in 5 years

The aim of the government scheme PLI was to create 2 lakh jobs in 5 years, which has been completed in just 4 years. It is clear from this that Apple has helped in creating new job opportunities in the country. The government estimates that one job created in the electronics sector creates three more jobs. This means that with the growth of Apple, 5 to 6 lakh jobs can be created by the end of the year. Apple has taken the same step in India as it did in China. Many factories have been set up by the company here.

Production will start in Hosur plant from October

The new factory of Tata Group is in Hosur, Tamil Nadu. Gradually about 50,000 people will be employed there. Women of Uttarakhand will also be given great opportunities in this plant. iPhones will start being made in this factory from October. Later, production will be increased further. Tamil Nadu has become the main center of Apple’s production. More than 2 lakh job opportunities are expected to be created in the factories making iPhones and its parts here.

iPhone production in FY24 was Rs 1.20 lakh crore

Apple started making iPhones in India in the year 2021. This was the company’s first production outside China. Since then, the company’s production in India has been increasing continuously. iPhone production has reached Rs 1.20 lakh crore in FY24, out of which Rs 85,000 crore is exports. The increase in production has made India a vital component of Apple’s global supply chain, contributing around 14% of the company’s total production.

Jobs for 4000 women of Uttarakhand

Apple companies are investing in building houses in Tamil Nadu to accommodate its growing workforce. The recently built house in Sriperumbudur is worth Rs 706.5 crore and will house around 18,720 people. Most of them are women. There is a plan to build more houses in this sector to accommodate Apple’s growing workforce. For this, the government and companies will work together. Recently, Tata Electronics has said that it will give jobs to 4000 women of Uttarakhand under NPS and NATS programs in its plants located in Hosur, Tamil Nadu and Kolar, Karnataka.

The company’s HR head Ranjan Bandopadhyay said in an official release that he has written a letter to the State Planning Department in this regard. He said that the recruitment process will start soon. The release said that those who have passed class 10 or 12 exams are eligible for NPS programs. Apart from this, ITI diploma along with 10 or 12 is necessary for NATS. After selection, they will be given jobs as technicians in factories.
