The will makes provisions for close family members, including his brother Jimmy Tata and half-sisters Shirin and Deanna Jejeebhoy. Tata’s loyal household staff, such as his cook Rajan Shaw and butler Subbiah, are also included.

After the death of Ratan Tata, there was a lot of discussion about his property and will. People had a question in their mind that who will be the owner of his property? In such a situation, now the will of the legendary industrialist has been revealed. According to the Hurun India Rich List released in August, Ratan Tata had about 0.83% stake in Tata Sons and his total wealth was Rs 7,900 crore. While including other assets, he had property worth an estimated total of Rs 10,000 crore.

The responsibility of executing Ratan Tata’s will has been given to his step-sisters Shirin and Diana Jejeebhoy along with lawyer Darius Khambatta and his close friend Mehli Mistry. According to a TOI report, not all details of Ratan Tata’s will have been made public, but it is certain that a large part of his property will go to the charity Ratan Tata Endowment Foundation (RTEF).

Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran will lead the foundation and continue Tata’s vision for social welfare and service. As per Tata’s will, the foundation will also benefit from the liquidation of his startup investments through RNT Associates and RNT Advisors, which will significantly boost its charitable initiatives.

Ratan Tata’s will also names his cook

According to the Times of India, the will makes provisions for close family members, including his brother Jimmy Tata and half-sisters Shirin and Deanna Jejeebhoy. Tata’s loyal household staff, such as his cook Rajan Shaw and butler Subbiah, who have served him for decades, are also included.

Shantanu Naidu gets relief

Tata’s executive assistant and confidant Shantanu Naidu has also been made a part of the will. According to the report, Tata has waived off the personal loan taken by Naidu for education and has given up his stake in all of Naidu’s businesses including Goodfellow. This big relief given to Naidu shows how close Shantanu was to Ratan Tata.

Lifetime care of pet dog

Ratan Tata has ensured lifelong care of his pet German Shepherd Tito. The will states that Tito, who was adopted 5-6 years ago, will continue to be taken care of by Shaw.

Ratan Tata’s collection of 20-30 luxury cars kept at the Colaba residence and Taj Wellington Mews is yet to be allocated, with options including auction or public display. His famous Alibaug beach bungalow and Mumbai residence on Juhu Tara Road are also part of the property. A decision on this is yet to be taken.
