Ration card is also canceled if any discrepancy is found in it. Under this, if you have not used your ration card for taking food grains for a long time, then your card can be canceled.

In this, on the basis of the number of members in the family, under the Public Distribution System, the government provides ration to the people at very cheap rates. Its purpose is to help the poor families financially.
Your ration card may be canceled
Actually, in which month in the ration department, how much ration did you take and how many members are there in your family, all such information is present in the ration card. According to the rules, you will get food grains on PDS only if you have a ration card in your name. But, recently there have been many such cases, in which all such ration cards were canceled, which were not used for a long time.
Know what is the rule?
According to the department, ‘If a ration card holder has not taken ration for six months, then according to the rules it is proved that he does not need food grains available at cheap rate or he is not eligible to take ration. In such a situation, on the basis of these reasons, the ration card of a person who has not taken ration for six months is canceled. Similar rules are applicable regarding ration in the capital Delhi, Bihar and Jharkhand also.
In such a situation, if your ration card is canceled, then you can get it activated again. For this, you have to do some formalities by visiting the official website of AePDS in your state. Not only this, you can activate it by visiting the AePDS ration card portal across India.
1. First you go to the state or central AePDS portal.
2. Now find the option ‘Ration Card Correction’ and click on it.
3. Now you go to the ration card correction page and fill the form to find your ration number.
4. Now if there is any mistake in your ration card information, then rectify it.
6. After making the correction, visit the local PDS office and submit the review application.
7. If your ration card activation application is accepted, then your canceled ration card will be activated again.
