The Food Supply Department is going to make the process of taking ration in the depot more easy for about 18.50 lakh ration card consumers of the state. Food Supplies Minister Rajendra Garg said that during the Corona period, people had to face difficulties to get ration in the depots.
In the government depots of Himachal Pradesh, the ration distribution process will start from November by screening the eyes. For this, the Food Supply Department has completed the tender process. With the introduction of this, consumers will not have to worry about problems like failure of biometric machines in depots or server down. The Food Supply Department is going to make the process of taking ration in the depot more easy for about 18.50 lakh ration card consumers of the state.
Food Supplies Minister Rajendra Garg said that during the Corona period, people had to face difficulties to get ration in the depots. Meanwhile, people had to put their thumb to get ration through biometrics.
Due to this there was a risk of spreading corona infection. Depot holders also had to distribute ration by putting their own security at risk. Now ration will be given after eye screening in depots from November. This will eliminate the risk of spreading Kovid. The tender process for this has been completed. The minister said that till now sugar used to come freely in the depots. Due to many reasons sugar becomes wet and its weight increases.
Such sugar is not meant for consumer use. Now consumers will get sugar in the packet, due to which it will not spoil and there will be no problem of weight. The Minister said that Himachal Pradesh is the first state in the country to digitize One Nation One Ration Card. About 36 lakh low salary employees are also being brought under the ambit of cheap ration.

Minister Rajendra Garg said that the remarks made by Congress leader Alka Lamba on BJP National President JP Nadda and Union Minister Anurag Thakur in the past, it shows the poor mentality of the Congress. Congress itself has been promoting drug business and now the same allegation is being rooted on BJP. This proves what level of cheap politics the Congress is doing to gain power.
