The Uttar Pradesh government has canceled the old mandates related to the process of issuing and canceling the ration card and amending it. In the event of the death of a ration card holder, the ration card will not have to be canceled to change the name of the head.

Ration cards will be issued on priority to the sex worker without revealing his identity. Ration cards will also be issued to eligible disabled persons on priority basis.

The Uttar Pradesh government has canceled the old mandates related to the process of issuing and canceling the ration card and amending it. In urban and rural areas, its online and offline process has been fixed along with prescribing the format of different forms for making ration cards, amendments or addition and cancellation of new units or transfer of units. The Food and Logistics Department has issued a mandate in this regard.

According to the mandate, the applicants will fill the prescribed form and make it available for online application at the Jan Seva Kendra to get the ration card made. Aadhar number based OTP will be sent to the applicant while applying at Jan Seva Kendra. Applicants can also apply offline at District and Tehsil Supply Office. The Supply Inspector will make the application received online within two days from his login.





The Block Development Officer in rural areas and the Executive Officer in urban areas or the concerned Zonal Officer of the Municipal Corporation will verify the online application and send it back to the Regional Supply Inspector’s login within six days with their recommendation. The Supply Inspector will forward the verified applications to the District Supply Officer within two days. The District Supply Officer will approve or reject the application online in two days. The ration card will be issued with the digital signature of the supply inspector within three days of the approval of the District Supply Officer.

On the death of the head of the ration card holder, the death certificate of the head on the prescribed form, passport size photo of the new head, uploading the photocopy of the first page of the bank passbook, on behalf of any member included in the ration card through the Jan Seva Kendra, to change the head. Online application has to be done. This application is being done on behalf of any member included in the concerned ration card, it will be verified with Aadhaar number based OTP.





If the applicant fills this form and submits it to the district and tehsil level office, then after confirming that the application is being submitted by a member included in the concerned ration card, the application for change of head will be sent by the Regional Supply Inspector for two days. will be done online from inside your login. The application received online or offline will have to be forwarded within four days to the District Supply Officer for approval, which has been done online by the Supply Inspector. The District Supply Officer will approve the application made as per the rules within three days. After the approval of the District Supply Officer, the head of the ration card will be changed with the digital signature of the Supply Inspector within three days.
