Ration card holders Alert! Even if you are a ration card holder, then return it, otherwise this action will be taken, know who are eligible to take ration

In Jharkhand, door-to-door checking campaign will start across the state after November 30 to identify ineligible ration card holders. Under this, verification of ration card holders will be done in all the districts.

Video recording of properties of affluent family homes will also be done. After the submission of evidence, an FIR will be registered against those who are ineligible for the card and are taking advantage of the card. The district administration will constitute a special team for this work. This team can go and raid the house at any time.

According to Ranchi district administration, this exercise is to make cards to the needy. According to the target of national food security, about four lakh 56 thousand cards have been made. Even after this, the card of poor, helpless, handicapped, widow, old and weaker sections of the people has to be made in the district.

Action on those who link multiple cards to the same Aadhaar

Such ration card holders are also being identified who have got many ration cards of different groups and colors made from their same Aadhaar number. The department will not only cancel the ration card of such people, but will also register an FIR against them by taking legal action. From the District Supply Officer to the Block Supply Officers, they have to identify such ration card holders by running a campaign for this. Apart from this, those who have not lifted ration for the last six months or more, their cards have also been asked to cancel.

Explain that the National Food Security Act 2013 is in force in the state. Under which food grains are being distributed through Antyodaya Anna Yojna and pre-supplied householder scheme. Under this act, such beneficiaries have been selected, who are not eligible in the light of the prescribed standards.

No card of any kind is payable to the affluent family under the National Food Security Rules (NFSA). If they are benefiting from the card under this scheme, then action will be taken against them. The Jharkhand government has arranged a white card for them. Under which, at present, two liters of kerosene are payable to them.

This action will be

• Criminal action will be initiated by registering an FIR under IPC sections.
• The ration will be recovered from the market rate with 12 percent interest.
• Departmental action will be initiated against the government employee.

They cannot get ration card

1. Any member of the family, employed in Government of India, State Government, Union Territory or their councils, prams/undertakings/other autonomous bodies like universities etc./Municipal Corporation/Municipal Council/Municipality/Trust etc.
2. Any member of the family pays Income Tax/Service Tax, Professional Tax.
3. The family should have more than 5 acres of irrigated land or more than 10 acres of land.
4. Have a four wheeler in the name of any member of the family.
5. Any member of the family is the owner or operator of an enterprise registered by the government.
6. The family has a refrigerator / air conditioner / washing machine
7. The family should have a house of three or more rooms with pucca walls and roof in the rooms.
8. The family should have machine driven four wheeler agricultural equipment.
