With the help of ONORC scheme, free ration given by the government in another state can also be taken from the ration card made in one state. But, for this, it is necessary to link the ration card with the Aadhaar (Ration Card-Aadhar Linking).
New Delhi. The central government’s very ambitious scheme ‘One Nation One Ration Card’ ie ONORC has now been implemented in the entire country. The advantage of this scheme is that if a person’s ration card is made in any one state of the country, then he can take ration in other state also. The biggest advantage of this is that if a person from UP, Bihar or any other state works in Delhi, Punjab, Kolkata or Assam in connection with employment, then he will get the ration from the government there itself. However, the benefit of ONORC scheme can be availed only by those ration card holders whose ration card is linked with Aadhaar.
Ration card which is not linked with Aadhaar, ration cannot be taken from that ration card in another state. June 30, 2022 is the last day to link ration card with Aadhaar. This means that you now have only a few hours left to do this very important task. Earlier, the government had fixed the deadline till 31 March 2022 for linking the ration card with Aadhaar. Later it was increased to 30 June 2022.
Make sure link
Ration card is not only a document of identity but it also provides government ration. If someone does not have it, then he can also be deprived of getting the benefits of many government schemes. Through the ration card, the right people get the benefit of the scheme, so the government has made it necessary to link the ration card with the Aadhar card. Linking the ration card with Aadhaar will also curb the fraud in the distribution of government ration and ineligible people will not be able to take advantage of this scheme.
Link can be done in two ways
The government has given both online and offline options to link the ration card with Aadhaar. To link the ration card with the offline Aadhar card, you will have to submit the copy of the Aadhar card, the copy of the ration card and the passport size photo of the ration card holder at the ration depot. You can also do biometric data verification of your Aadhar card at the ration depot.
