The Yogi government had extended PMGKY till Holi, but in view of the election environment, the government had announced to give ration twice a month.
The government had started providing free ration facility under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY). Initially this scheme was launched for the period of April-June 2020, but later it was extended till November 30, 2020 this year.
Free ration is being given under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana (Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana: PMGKY) launched by the Central Government. Under this scheme, this facility is being given to the beneficiaries till March 2022.
Regarding the elections to be held in UP, the state government has decided that 5-5 kg of free food grains will be given twice a month to the beneficiaries.
Along with extending the duration of the Garib Kalyan Yojana, the UP government has announced to give 10 kg free ration to the ration card holders. Apart from this, free pulses, edible oil and salt are also being given to the beneficiaries.
The government had announced to give free ration only after the corona epidemic spread across the country. In the corona epidemic, everyone should get food to eat. For this reason, the government had started this facility. Keeping in view that the poor and needy should not have trouble eating, the government had extended this scheme till March 2022.

The application fee for ration card ranges from Rs 05 to Rs 45. After filling the application, pay the fee and submit the application. After the field verification, if your application is found correct then your ration card will be generated.
