Increased concern for the poor
It is worth noting that just a day before Diwali, the government had announced a reduction in the rates of petrol and diesel by reducing the excise duty. Due to which the people of the country got a lot of relief. But, by discontinuing the free ration of the poor, once again the concern of the weaker section has increased.
Speculations over
If reports are to be believed in the media, then it was being said that assembly elections are yet to be held in many states including Uttar Pradesh. It is expected that the assembly elections will be over by March. People were hopeful that the government could continue to distribute free ration at least till the month of March. But in view of the increasing burden on the treasury, the government has taken this decision.
Claims were going viral
Let us tell you that this report was published in the newspapers of Uttar Pradesh that the government of CM Yogi Adityanath will give free ration to the poor till March 2022 in the state. It was also said in those reports that the poor would also get mustard oil, salt and sugar free of cost. All such reports were made fiercely viral on social media.
