Here till October, BPL families had to buy rice for Re 1 and APL ones for Rs 10 per kg. Let us tell you that during the lockdown in Chhattisgarh, a family was given a maximum of 85 kg of rice. On behalf of the Modi government of the Center, it has been announced to give additional rice free to the people of the country till December.
Rice will be available on the basis of family members
This rice, which was to be distributed by the Center, was to be distributed from October. But due to some reason the rice could not be distributed in October. The state government has now got the central’s quota of rice for October-November (two months) simultaneously. In such a situation, the additional rice of the center will be distributed from 5 to 50 kg according to the ration card. How much rice will be available, it will be given on the basis of family members.

Ration card holders will get 15 to 150 kg rice depending on the family members in the rice distributed from the quota of Chhattisgarh government on the priority card. In fact, the quantity of rice has increased due to the distribution of additional rice of two months and this month’s rice in one go. In December also, rice will be distributed free of cost by the central and state governments.
