Letter sent to district magistrates
This time, due to less procurement of wheat, the central government has reduced the quota of wheat to be distributed from May to September under the Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana. 5 kg rice is being available on every unit
In the letter issued by the government, it was written that under ‘Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana Phase 6’, revised allocation of 5 kg additional food grains free of cost for five months (from May to September) for the beneficiary of Antyodaya other scheme and eligible household. Is. It was also written in the letter that ‘It is to be informed that in the letter of Under Secretary to the Government of India, instead of 3 kg wheat and 2 kg rice per person per month for 5 months from May to September, a total of 5 kg rice will be distributed.’
Decision taken due to shortage of wheat
Food Secretary Sudhanshu Pandey had told that during this additional allocation of about 55 lakh metric tonnes of rice will be made. This change is only for PMGKAY. It is believed that after September, the system of 3 kg of wheat and 2 kg of rice will be restored by the government.
