RBI: Usually people can be seen wandering here and there or waiting for their work in banks. But if the employee in the bank is reluctant to do your work or is making you wait unnecessarily, then you can complain about it.

RBI: Has it happened to you too that you go to the bank for some work and the bank employee present there is reluctant to do your work, or makes you wait unnecessarily, like asking you to come after lunch or when you reach at the mentioned time, he is not found at his seat, then you have to face a lot of trouble. But do you know that such employees who postpone your work during duty hours can be taken to task for this negligence. You just need to know your rights and the ways to use them. Yes, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has given many rights to bank customers and many facilities too, through which you can complain about such problems.

Lack of information is the reason for trouble

Actually, bank customers have to face such problems due to lack of information, because what rights do they have to deal with such cases? Most people are not aware of this, whereas you can complain about such negligence and take action against the concerned employee. Bank customers get many such rights (Bank Customers Rights), which customers are usually not aware of. It is important for the bank to behave properly with the customers. If this does not happen, customers have the right that if the bank does not behave properly, then they can directly reach their complaint to the Reserve Bank (RBI).

Do not sit quietly in distress, do this work

Due to lack of information about their rights, customers become victims of the careless behavior of the employees and keep wandering here and there for their work and keep waiting for hours. But if any such case comes up with you in the future, then know that you can complain about that employee directly to the Banking Lokpal and get a solution to the problem. All you have to do is not sit quietly when you face such a problem, but if any bank employee delays in doing your work, then first of all go to the Bank Manager or Nodal Officer and register your complaint.

These methods will come in handy in case of trouble

Bank customers can also register their complaint on the Grievance Redressal Number. Actually, almost every bank has Grievance Redressal Forum to settle the complaints of customers. Through which immediate action is taken on the complaints received. For this, you can complain by taking the Grievance Redressal Number of the bank whose customer you are. Apart from this, facilities are also provided to register a complaint by calling on the toll free number of the bank or on the online portal of the bank.

You can complain directly to the Banking Ombudsman

If you have faced such a problem and the matter could not be resolved even through all the methods mentioned above, then you can directly tell your problem to the Banking Ombudsman. For this, you can send your complaint online. To register a complaint, you have to login to the website https://cms.rbi.org.in. Then when the homepage opens, you have to click on the File A Complaint option given there. Along with this, complaints can also be made to the Banking Ombudsman by sending an email to CRPC@rbi.org.in. RBI’s toll free number for resolving the complaints of bank customers is 14448, on which the problem can be resolved by calling.
