Bank Account e-kyc: If you also keep getting the message to get KYC done by the bank and you get upset for some time after seeing it, then this news is useful for you. Actually, for the last few days, customers are being told by PNB through SMS on the registered mobile number to complete KYC. It was told in the message sent by the bank that if you have not done KYC for any reason, then get it done by December 12, otherwise you will not be able to do the transaction from midnight of December 13.

Updates can be done online only,
after complaints from customers of some banks on behalf of KYC, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) said that if the account holder has done e-KYC (e-kyc) or the KYC process is called C-KYC If completed on the portal, banks should not be asked to certify and update the information at the branch level. RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das said that if such customers of banks complete the KYC process online, then every year any kind of change or update can also be done online.

Collect information from the portal itself
The RBI governor said that banks should not force such customers to come to the branch to certify things. Similarly, customers who have uploaded KYC details on the C-KYC portal should also not be asked to come to the bank for certification. He said that customers can give information through email or message to the bank from their registered email ID or mobile to get their KYC information from the C-KYC portal.

RBI Deputy Governor T Ravi Shankar said that there is a lack of awareness about this at the branch level. He said that the central bank regularly tells banks not to harass customers for such details. (Input PTI)
