Major credit card providers such as HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank and Punjab National Bank (PNB) have linked their systems to the Bharat Bill Payment System (BBPS) to facilitate payments through these apps. The RBI had earlier directed that all credit card payments should be processed through BBPS from July 1. However, many banks have still not enabled BBPS for credit card bill payments through third party apps.
