Reliance Jio will reportedly soon add TV and landline services to its GigaFiber service. The landline-broadband-TV package could be available for Rs 600 a month.

Reliance Jio’s GigaFiber broadband service could debut with a bouquet of multiple services including TV service and landline. The landline-broadband-TV package will be available for Rs 600 a month, according to a Livemint report. Jio will also be offering smart home solutions for up to Rs 1,000.

According to the report, Reliance Jio will be adding TV and landline services to its GigaFiber package soon. The package will be free for one year. This excludes Rs 4,500 one-time deposit for the installation of ONT device. The report added that Jio will be offering free and unlimited landline calls to its GigaFiber users while the TV service will be based on IPTV.

Reliance Jio is also said to be planning a ‘Triple Play Plan’ under which users will get free voice calling, Jio Home TV subscription, and access to Jio applications. The Triple Play Plan will be available with 28 days of validity and up to 100GB of data.

Reliance Jio is currently running a GigaFiber scheme with monthly data up to 100GB. While GigaFiber is promised to deliver broadband speeds up to 1Gbps, Jio is offering speeds up to 100Mbps.

Ahead of the official release, Reliance Jio has made investments in the top local cable network operators including Den Networks and Hathway Cable. The company is hoping it will be able to leverage the network and infrastructure setup by these cable operators.

Reliance Jio is planning to roll out GigaFiber broadband service in 1,600 cities after completing the pilot testing with select users.
