Reliance Jio plans price hike: India’s largest telecom company Jio has increased the prices of its postpaid plans. Users with a plan of Rs 199 will be shifted to a plan of Rs 299 from January 23, 2025. That is, now they will have to pay more than 50% every month. The biggest change is that now you will have to pay more money, which may cause problems in the budget. If you want to take a new Jio postpaid plan, then you will not get a plan of Rs 299. The basic plan for new users now starts at Rs 349. In this plan, you will get 30GB data (5GB more than the Rs 299 plan) and where 5G is available, you can use unlimited 5G data.

This change will affect the people who have been using the Rs 199 plan for a long time. After the price hike, many people will feel that they are no longer getting as much benefit as they get in the Rs 349 plan, because it offers more data.
Jio has not yet given the reason for the price hike, but it seems that they are trying to simplify their postpaid plans and encourage users to take expensive plans. Because 5G services are growing rapidly in India, Jio is giving more importance to those plans that promote 5G.
