Jio and Qualcomm announced that they have achieved speeds of over 1 Gbps on Reliance Jio 5GNR Solutions and Qualcomm 5G RAN platforms. Currently, 5G customers from countries like America, South Korea, Australia, Switzerland and Germany are getting 1Gbps internet speed facility worldwide. Now this facility will be available in India as well.

Jio said that it is working with Qualcomm on homegrown 5G solutions and network infrastructure. The company is working on domestic 5G technology solutions that will be used in the retail and industrial segments.
“We are becoming self-sufficient in developing 5G networks with Qualcomm Technologies and developing secure RAN solutions with Jio platforms,” ​​said Matthew Oommen, president of Reliance Jio Infocomm.
In July this year, Qualcomm Inc., the investment arm of Qualcomm Venture, announced investment in Jio platforms. Qualcomm had invested Rs 730 crore for a 0.15 per cent stake in Jio Platforms.
Reliance Chairman Mukesh Ambani had said that Jio will work with Qualcomm on the 5G vision and support India’s digital transformation.
