The important decision was taken by the Telangana government. After this decision taken in the cabinet meeting, orders have finally been issued. In an important order, the state government has increased the retirement age of Anganwadi teachers and mini Anganwadi teachers and assistants from 60 to 65 years. Retirement age will be valid from 30th April every year. Financial assistance of Rs 1 lakh will be provided to the retiring Anganwadi teachers.
Financial assistance of Rs 50000 available
Whereas financial assistance of Rs 50,000 will be provided to mini Anganwadi assistants and teachers. Not only this, Asara pension will also be provided to teachers and assistants. Many other important decisions were taken by the Telangana government. This decision was taken under the chairmanship of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao.
Anganwadi teachers and assistants will be provided insurance of Rs 2 lakh for up to 50 years and ex-gratia amount of Rs 200,000 will be provided to those above 50 years of age.
Important benefits to more than 70000 Anganwadi teachers
It has been clarified in the order that in case of death of Anganwadi teachers during service, they will be given a benefit of Rs 20,000, while in case of assistants dying during service, they will be provided immediate assistance of Rs 10,000. This decision of the government will provide significant benefits to more than 70,000 Anganwadi workers and teachers.
Additional financial burden of Rs 115 crore
Due to this decision of Telangana government, an additional financial burden of Rs 115 crore will be seen on the state government. With the approval of the proposal by the government, its orders have been issued.
On which Women and Child Welfare Minister Satyawati Rathore expressed gratitude on this decision of the government. He said that the Telangana government is paying the highest salaries to Anganwadi teachers and assistants in the country. Anganwadi teachers are being provided Rs 13650 monthly as salary while mini Anganwadi workers and assistants including teachers are being paid Rs 7800.
