Revised guidelines of UGC released, final year examinations to be held by end of september

UGC Revised Guidelines: UGC has released revised guidelines for conducting final year examinations of universities.

UGC Revised Guidelines for University Exams 2020: University Grants Commission (UGC) has issued revised guidelines for the final year / final semester examinations and new academic session of universities and higher educational institutions. This guideline was issued after the notification of the Ministry of Planets in which universities and higher educational institutions were allowed to conduct examinations.

 

Union Human Resource Development (HRD) Minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ gave information about this decision of UGC and press note on Monday late evening. Revised guidelines of UGC are given on the official website of the Commission. Interested students can check from there.



 

HRD Minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ said that UGC has revised its earlier guidelines related to the examinations of universities. He said that after consulting a lot, the safety of students. Revised guidelines have been issued keeping in mind the placement and career.

 

According to the press note issued by the UGC, in the wake of the corona virus crisis, the commission had constituted a high-level committee under the leadership of the vice-chancellor of Haryana Central University in April 2020. Which had to be suggested about the examinations of the universities and the new academic calendar. Based on the report / recommendation of the same committee, UGC issued a guideline on 29 April 2020.



 

 

The UGC had once again urged the same committee to reconsider the guide line released in April and suggest examinations and academic sessions of universities and higher institutions as the number of corona-infected patients increases in the current situation. Has been

  1. The final year / terminal semester examinations will be held by the end of September 2020.
  2. Institutes can conduct final year / terminal semester examinations online / offline as per their convenience.
  3. Final year / semester students will be evaluated on the basis of the examination given by them.
  4. Students who are not able to appear in the final examination will be given the opportunity to appear in the special examination conducted by the university or the concerned institute.
  5. The university / institute can conduct this special examination only when it considers appropriate, but this arrangement will be valid only for the academic session 2019-20.
  6. Regarding the remaining exams {eg, BA for first year, second year / first semester or second semester}, the guide line issued on 29 April 2020 will be valid.
