Forbes magazine has reported in a report released on October 9 that currently Mukesh Ambani’s total wealth is $108.3 billion, making him the 13th richest person in the world. It is worth noting that the total wealth of the top 100 people in Forbes’ 2024 rich list has crossed the historic level of one trillion dollars. The magazine said that the total wealth increased by 40% from the $799 billion reported in 2023 to $1.1 trillion in 2024.
The report said that the rich are getting richer due to the strong performance of the stock market due to investment in IPOs and mutual funds by investors. Forbes said that the Indian stock market has reached its highest level. The BSE Sensex has registered a gain of 30% since last year.
The report said, “Due to all this, more than 80% of the people in the rich list have become richer, out of which 58 have increased their net worth by $ 1 billion or more.” Adani Group made the highest profit Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani is at the second position in the Forbes list with a total family wealth of $ 116 billion. The report said that Adani was the person who made the highest profit in dollar terms in the last one year. He added $ 48 billion to his net worth along with his brother Vinod Adani. This surge in the wealth of Adani Group has come after recovery from the strong blow caused by the report of US short seller firm Hindenburg, due to which the market cap of the group fell. Apart from this, Dilip Sanghvi (32.4 billion dollars), Radhakishan Damani (31.5 billion dollars), Sunil Mittal (30.7 billion dollars), Kumar Birla (24.8 billion dollars), Cyrus Poonawala (24.5 billion dollars) and Bajaj family (23.4 billion dollars) are included in the list of top 10 richest individuals or families.
