Rs 2000 Note Latest Update: From today you will not be able to use Rs 2000 notes, deposit them in banks till this date

Rs 2000 Note Latest Update: Rs 2000 notes will soon be banned in the country. At present the government has said that anyone who has Rs 2000 notes should deposit them in banks immediately. However, till the last date, Rs 2000 notes were circulating in many places, including Amazon India. But from today i.e. from Tuesday, Amazon will also not accept payment in Rs 2000 notes.

Amazon India is stopping accepting ₹2,000 notes for cash-on-delivery (COD) payments for orders. The move is in line with the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) directive issued on May 19, which called for demonetisation of ₹2,000 bank notes and gave time till September 30 for the public to exchange or deposit them. Has gone.

Although according to the e-commerce company, Amazon will not accept ₹2,000 notes for payment for orders, but third-party courier services can still accept it.

Deposit as soon as possible by this date.

RBI has set September 30 as the last date for exchanging or depositing ₹2,000 notes. At the same time, a large part of the currency has already been deposited with the banks. Union Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary had earlier said that till June 30, Indian banks had received ₹2,000 banknotes worth ₹2.72 trillion. According to RBI, 76% of these high denomination notes have either been deposited in banks or exchanged.
