According to the report on Jobs and Salary of TeamLease, this year there will be a possibility of salary hike in most of the sectors. However, this increase will be of a moderate degree.

Of the 17 sectors reviewed in this report, 14 say that they will give a single digit hike and it will be around 8.13 percent. Rituparna Chakraborty, Cofounder, TeamLease Services, said that while wage growth is yet to reach double-digit growth, it is heartening to see that the phase of wage reduction and stagnation in the job market over the past two years is nearing an end. There are signs of revival amid growing interest among people about their job profiles. This will help the increment to reach the pre-covid level.

Another interesting aspect that the report found is that India Inc’s interest in Upcoming Jobs is on the rise. ‘The Jobs and Salary Primer’ is an annual report by TeamLease Services, which takes into account the salary payments of over 2,63,000 candidates across 17 regions and nine cities. The report further revealed that companies are coming forward in rewarding the skills of their employees. It added that employers continue to pay a premium on super specialized job roles and the demand for this job category continues to grow. According to the report, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Pune are next among the highest paying cities from a geographical point of view (growth of 12 per cent and above).
