SBI Bank charges Cut: In all the big banks, especially in the State Bank of India (SBI), customers may sometimes face problems regarding their banking services. Recently, complaints are being filed by SBI customers regarding deduction of Rs 236 from the bank account. Customers are not aware that money is being debited from their account, and it is only known through the message sent by the bank.
This amount can usually be deducted by the bank for certain services, such as maintenance fees, ATM charges, lack of minimum balance or any other charges. However, customers should have been informed about these charges in advance, so that they do not have to face such surprise deductions.
If you are also facing such a problem, you can check your bank account statement or contact your bank branch directly to get clear information about why these charges have been deducted. Apart from this, if you were not informed about this charge, you can also file a complaint with the bank.
You are right that banks never deduct money from the customer’s account without reason. SBI has recently clarified that Rs 236 has been deducted as an annual charge for their debit card. This charge is taken to provide ATM facility to the customers.
SBI said that an annual fee of Rs 200 is charged on their debit card, on top of which 18 percent GST (about Rs 36) is also charged. Thus, a total of Rs 236 (Rs 200 + Rs 36 GST) has been deducted from your account. This charge is part of the annual service of your debit card and it is clearly visible in your bank statement.
If you were not aware of this fee earlier, you can get more information from the notification sent by your bank or from customer service.
