State Bank of India (SBI) has appealed to its customers to link PAN with Aadhaar in a tweet. SBI says that failing to do so may cause inconvenience to customers. The government has made it mandatory to link PAN with Aadhaar.
New Delhi. State Bank of India (SBI) has issued an alert to all its account holders. In this, the bank has said that to keep banking services running, customers should link their PAN with Aadhaar. SBI has tweeted and said that to avoid inconvenience to our customers, we advise to link PAN with Aadhaar, so that better banking service is available.
SBI said from its official Twitter handle that if you want to avoid any inconvenience and want to use your account without any deadlock, then link your PAN with Aadhaar. The bank said that it is mandatory to link PAN with Aadhaar. Otherwise, you will not be able to do bank transactions above a certain limit.
Government has made it mandatory
The government has made it necessary to link PAN card with Aadhaar (PAN Aadhaar linking). At present, the deadline for linking PAN-Aadhaar is 31 March 2022. In such a situation, SBI has appealed to its customers to link PAN with Aadhaar as soon as possible. Let us inform that in the month of September, the government had extended the deadline for linking PAN with biometric ID Aadhaar by 6 months to March 2022.
How to link pan to Aadhar
Linking PAN Aadhar is very easy. For this you have to visit the official website of Income Tax https://www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/home. After this, the option of Link Aadhaar will appear on the left side, on which to click. After that a new page will open. Where you have to enter information like PAN, AADHAAR and your name in Aadhaar. If you have only year of birth in your Aadhar card, then you have to tick the box of I have only year of birth in Aadhar card. Then enter the captcha code. After this click on Link Aadhaar and your PAN will be linked with Aadhaar.
