In the tweet, the bank has given notice to its account holders to link PAN-Aadhaar card before 31 March 2022. The bank has said that the banking service of customers who do not do this work by this period may be stopped. This can cause great harm to them.

Linking PAN with Aadhar card has now been made mandatory as per Income Tax rules. In such a situation, if someone has not linked his PAN with Aadhaar, then his PAN card will become invalid.

SBI has issued an alert to save the customers from this big inconvenience, saying that you should link your PAN card and Aadhar card as soon as possible. Otherwise, the bank will stop your banking services due to invalid PAN card. Therefore, before March 31, this work must be completed.

Government has extended the deadline

Actually, the deadline for linking PAN card and Aadhar card was earlier 30 September 2021. For the convenience of the people, it was later increased by the government to 31 March 2022. This means that if you do not link your PAN card with Aadhaar by this period, then your banking services will be stopped. This is how you can link your PAN card with Aadhaar

  • To link PAN and Aadhar card, click on Income Tax website https://www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/home.
  • Here you will see the option of Link Aadhaar. Click on it.
  • On the next page, you will have to fill your name as entered in the Aadhar card.
  • If only year of birth is entered in your Aadhaar then select I have only year of birth in aadhaar card option.
  • Then enter the OTP received on the registered mobile number by entering the Captcha code.
  • After this, your Aadhaar and PAN card will be linked as soon as you submit it.
  • After this, you can take advantage of your SBI banking service with ease even further.

Second way

  • You can also link PAN and Aadhaar through SMS.
  • For this, go to the message box of the mobile and type UIDPAN<12-digit Aadhaar><10-digit PAN>.
  • Send this message to 567678 or 56161. With this your PAN card will be linked with Aadhaar.
