State Bank of India (SBI), the country’s largest government bank, offers many easy options to pensioners to submit life certificates.


Once again the month of November has arrived and in this month pensioners have to submit their life certificates in banks. There are long queues in banks to deposit life certificate. The pension of pensioners depends on whether the pensioners deposit the life certificate in the banks on time or not. Life certificate is submitted every year so that the banks are aware that the pensioner is alive.

State Bank of India (SBI), the country’s largest government bank, offers many easy options to pensioners to submit life certificates. Today we are going to tell you how you can easily submit your life certificate in the country’s largest government bank sitting at home.
The most important thing is that this entire process is Aadhaar based, hence the digital life certificate presented by the pensioners can be certified only if the pensioners’ accounts are linked to their Aadhaar number. Pensioners can submit their life certificate through video call.

Know how to submit life certificate through video call

Step 1- To start this process, first of all pensioners have to go to SBI’s pension service website https://www.pensionseva.sbi/.
Step 2- After this, pensioners will have to start the process by clicking on Video Life Certificate (VLC).
Step 3- In the third step you have to enter your SBI account number.
Step 4- After this, an OTP will be sent to the pensioner’s registered mobile number, which you will have to submit.
Step 5- Information about pensioners term and condition will be given. After this you have to click on Start journey.
Step 6- With the original PAN CARD you have to click on ‘I am ready’.
Step 7- After this you will have to give permissions like camera and microphone of your mobile.
Step 8 – After this process, you will interact with the bank official of SBI. You will have to enter the 4 digit verification code from your mobile screen.
Step 9- You will have to show your PAN card to the officer. The officer will capture your photo and the process will be completed.
