If you are using the credit card of State Bank of India, then this is important news for you. The bank has informed its credit card holders about the new charges by sending an email. According to this email, earlier there was a processing fee of Rs 99 for paying rent through credit card. Now it has been doubled. From March 17, 2023, the bank has increased it to Rs 199. Apart from this, tax will be charged separately.

How much does SBI charge?

According to the information available on the website of SBI Card, on November 15, 2022, the bank imposed a transaction charge of Rs 99 on the rent payment. Apart from this, GST of 18 percent is charged separately. As per the information available on the website, the merchant EMI transaction charge was also increased from Rs 99 to Rs 199 on November 15. GST is charged separately.

How much does HDFC Bank charge?

Apart from SBI, there are many other banks which provide the facility of rent payment through credit card to their customers. According to the information available on the HDFC Bank website, you get an interest-free credit period of 45-50 days before depositing the rent with the help of HDFC Credit Card. HDFC Bank charges 1% of the rental amount which is applicable from the second month.

How much does ICIC Bank charge?

According to the information available on the website of ICIC Bank, if you make rent payment with the help of ICICI Credit Card, then it will also be 1% of the rental amount. From October 2022, the bank started this facility.
