SBI New Rules: State Bank of India (SBI), the country’s largest state-run bank, has made changes in the rules for the safety of customers. According to the new rule, now customers can log-in to the State Bank’s YONO application only from the same phone number which will be registered with the bank account. After this rule, you cannot take the service of the bank from any phone number. The bank says that with this step, customers can be saved from online banking fraud.

In view of the increasing case of online fraud, SBI has made this new upgrade in YONO app. With this, the transaction of customers will be more secure than before and they will avoid falling prey to online fraud.

SBI has informed that for new registration, customers should use the same phone in which they are registered with the bank. Now under this new rule, you cannot log in to the app through any phone, whereas earlier customers could log in from any phone.

SBI new update

In view of the increasing incidents of ATM frauds, State Bank of India has upgraded the security of ATM operations. After this upgrade, when you go to withdraw 10 thousand or more rupees from the ATM, then an OTP will come from the bank on your registered mobile number, which will have to be typed in the ATM machine. You will be able to withdraw money from ATM only after entering the OTP. Whereas OTPs that withdraw Rs 9,999 or less will not have to be told.

For cash withdrawals above Rs 10,000 after 8 PM till 8 AM, OTP has to be entered along with the Debit Card PIN received on the mobile phone. This facility is available at all State Bank ATMs. OTP based withdrawal is not available at non-SBI ATMs.
