State Bank stated that the bank never asks for updating/completion of KYC by clicking on the embedded link.



New Delhi State Bank of India through its official Twitter handle has made customers aware about KYC fraud.

SBI tweeted and wrote that #YehWrongNumberHai is an example of KYC fraud. Such SMS can lead to fraud.

You may lose your savings. Do not click on embedded links. On receiving the SMS, check the correct short code of SBI. Be alert and stay tuned with SBI.

State Bank stated that the bank never asks for updating/completion of KYC by clicking on the embedded link.

Earlier on February 26 , in another tweet, SBI had warned against sharing OTP. Was told that tell those fraudsters who ask you for your OTP , this is the wrong number.

SBI also replied to one of those customers. Who tweeted about the fraud message.

Said we appreciate your caution. Thank you for informing us. State Bank has advised all its customers not to respond to emails , SMS , calls , embedded links.

Wherein they are asked to share personal or banking details like User ID , Password , Debit Card Number , PIN , CVV , OTP etc. The bank never asks for this information. Customers can report at report.phishing@sbi.co.in or helpline 155260 . If you have entered your information in error , change your password immediately
