New Delhi. If you have an account in the State Bank of India, then this is news of work for you. Actually, SBI is giving free insurance up to Rs 2 lakh to its customers. SBI is giving this facility to the account holders of Jan Dhan Accounts. Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana was started in the year 2014. This scheme ensures access to financial services, banking savings and deposit accounts, credit, insurance, pension to the economically weaker sections in an affordable manner.



Let us tell you that SBI Rupay Jandhan Card facility is given to Jan Dhan customers by the bank. On this card, the bank is offering customers the facility of accidental insurance cover up to Rs 2 lakh. With the help of Rupay card, you can withdraw money from the account and can also make purchases.

Basic Savings Account to the Jan Dhan Yojana account. Those who have Jan Dhan Accouts, they get RuPay PMJDY card from the bank. The sum insured for RuPay PMJDY cards issued on Jan Dhan accounts opened up to 28 August 2018 will be Rs 1 lakh. Accidental cover benefit of up to Rs 2 lakh will be available on RuPay cards issued after August 28, 2018.

Know how to claim
The Personal Accident Policy under this plan also covers the incident that happened outside India. The claim will be paid in Indian Rupees as per the sum insured on submission of required documents. The beneficiary can become a nominee in the account of the cardholder or legal heir as per the order of the court.
