People have got relief
This effort brought relief to the people living on the houseboat as they had to come to the main city to withdraw money. They also say that it has benefited them as tourists want to stay in houseboats near ATMs.
Saqib Ibrahim, the owner of the houseboat, says, ‘If seen, tourism is benefiting for a few days, tourists are getting very happy, they are not coming out with empty money, it has become an attraction. With this, tourists are getting a new experience. It has brought great convenience to the people. We are thankful to State Bank who has taken this step otherwise we would have had to go on the road.
A large number of tourists arrive in the valley in summer
Actually, after the corona havoc, this summer a large number of tourists arrived in the valley and most of the houseboats and hotels were booked. Tourists staying on houseboats find it convenient to have floating ATMs. They also say that they are taking pictures with it because it is a unique experience.
Nabil Ahmadi, a tourist from Kerala, says, had seen a floating ATM in Kerala, had not heard about it, it was the first time that I saw the concept here. Seeing Dal Lake is a very good experience, similarly ATM floating will give a different experience to the tourist. Also, people will not have to come on the road to withdraw cash, the facility will be available only in Dal.
The first floating ATM in the middle of Dal Lake in Srinagar will not only help locals and houseboat tourists, but it will also become a tourist attraction for a unique experience.
