SBI tweeted and issued 2 numbers 18001234 and 18002100. Customers will be able to avail 5 types of banking facilities by calling on these numbers.
Which facilities will the customers be able to take advantage of?
From SBI’s toll free numbers, customers will be able to get information about their account balance and last 5 transactions. Customers can call on these numbers to know about their card block and new card status. Apart from this, he can also get information about the dispatch status of the cheque. Through these numbers, customers can get information related to TDS deduction and can submit interest certificate through e-mail. Customers can also apply for a new ATM after the old ATM is blocked.
The bank had recently increased the interest rate on FD
The bank had changed the interest rates of FD from June 14. SBI had increased the interest rates of FDs maturing in 211 days to 3 years by 15 to 20 basis points. The bank has increased the interest rates on fixed deposits from 211 days to less than one year by 20 basis points from 4.40 per cent to 4.60 per cent.
Similarly, the bank has also increased the interest on FDs with tenor from one year to less than two years. Earlier, where the bank was giving interest at the rate of 5.10 percent per annum to the customers, now it will get 5.30 percent interest. The bank has increased the interest rate on fixed deposits maturing in two to three years by 15 basis points. Earlier, where the bank was paying 5.20 percent interest on this period FD, now 5.35 percent interest will be given.
