Sim Binding is completely a security feature which has been launched keeping in mind the security of the customers. In this, the Yono app automatically verifies your SIM.
State Bank of India (SBI) has brought a new security feature which will make the transaction secure. Thanks to this feature, you will get protection from cyber fraud. The name of this new feature is SIM binding. With the introduction of this feature, the way of login on SBI YONO mobile app has also changed. It is important for the customers to know about it as it has become a part of everyday life.
The earlier system was that the login ID and password received from SBI or the login-password created by itself were used to login to SBI Yono. But with the introduction of sim binding feature, the whole method of login has changed. In this feature, first you have to verify the SIM along with the mobile number. Only then your YONO app will be able to work. SBI YONO app will have to be installed in the same handset in which your registered number is running. As soon as you open the YONO app, an auto generated message will come from your phone. Based on this message a login page will be displayed. This will happen only when your mobile number is registered with SBI.
SIM binding increases security
After this you have to open SBI YONO app by entering login id and password. It enhances the security of your account through the SIM binding process. No one will be able to simply access your bank account. Even if someone knows the login ID-password, then he will not be able to login to YONO because his SIM is not verified in SBI. If you already have YONO app in the phone, then you can get the security of SIM binding by updating it. After the completion of the SIM binding process, you have to create an MPIN, through which all types of banking facilities will be available on the YONO app.

Security feature is SIM binding
Sim Binding is completely a security feature which has been launched keeping in mind the security of the customers. In this, the Yono app automatically verifies your SIM. If your mobile number is not registered with SBI and you are running YONO app on the same number then YONO will be downloaded but will not be able to verify the SIM. In this case YONO app will be useless. Afterwards you will have to uninstall it. If multiple accounts are registered on the same mobile number, then the same number will have to be entered in YONO, on which the YONO app is to be run. Also the date of birth has to be entered.
SBI’s YONO and YONO Lite One app mobile phones will work with the basic rule of ‘One User-One RMN’. That is, with one registered mobile number, you will be able to run only one YONO app. SBI’s new SIM binding feature allows two different users to use YONO and YONO Lite separately in a dual SIM handset. After the verification of the SIM card, many ways to avoid cyber fraud will be available on Yono and Yono Lite app. Banking of customers will be more secure than before. In view of the increasing incidents of cyber fraud, State Bank has started this new system.
