SBI vs HDFC Bank FD Rates Comparison: Which of the two banks is giving the highest interest on FD, check details

SBI vs HDFC FD Rates: In recent times, banks have rapidly increased fixed deposit rates to attract customers. Know how much interest rate the country’s two big banks, State Bank of India and HDFC Bank, are offering on their fixed deposits.

SBI vs HDFC FD Rates: Both public and private sector banks of the country are aggressively trying to sell fixed deposit schemes these days. In recent times, banks have rapidly increased fixed deposit rates to attract customers. Know how much interest rate the country’s two big banks, State Bank of India and HDFC Bank, are offering on their fixed deposits and which of the two banks is offering the highest.

SBI and HDFC Bank FD Rates

SBI Special FD (branded as Amrit Vrishti) of 444 days duration is getting a high return of 7.75 percent. This rate is applicable for senior citizens, while for general citizens, the bank is offering interest at the rate of 7.25 per cent on FDs of the same tenure. On the other hand, HDFC Bank offers the highest rate of 7.90 per cent on FDs of 55 months duration. General customers get 50 basis points less at 7.4 per cent.

SBI rates

For senior citizens, SBI offers 7 per cent or more interest rate on FDs of four more tenure slabs apart from Amrit Vrishti. These are 1 year to less than 2 years (7.3 per cent), 3 years to less than 5 years (7.25 per cent) and 5 years to 10 years (7.5 per cent). For general customers, 7 per cent or more rates are paid in only 1 slab (apart from Amrit Vrishti). This is for a tenure of 2 years to less than 3 years (7%).

HDFC Bank Rates

For senior citizens, HDFC Bank offers interest rates of over 7% across 11 tenures. These range from less than 1 year to 15 months and from 5 years 1 day to 10 years. For each tenure, those below 60 years of age get 50 basis points lower interest rates.
