Bank Privatization: Government is preparing for privatization of many banks, know update

If you are also a customer of SBI branch then this news is very important for you. As per the latest update, the SBI branch holiday day has changed. Due to which the bank will remain closed on this day instead of Sunday.

New Delhi, SBI Weekly Off Changed: An order has been passed by the Govandi branch of the public sector State Bank of India. Accordingly, his weekly off has changed from December 1. Now the bank will be closed on Friday instead of Sunday. Similarly, it will be open for the people on Sundays.

A notice to this effect was put up outside the branch premises this week. The move is aimed at providing convenience to the local minority population living in and around the north-eastern suburb of Govandi.

However, top SBI officials were not available for their comments on this decision taken at the local level. As per the notice, from December 1, SBI Govandi branch will remain closed on all Fridays and 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month.

From Sunday to Thursday, bank opening hours will be as usual. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There were apprehensions that the SBI Millennium branch in Dadar would follow suit, but the branch officials on Tuesday dismissed the claims outright.

Incidentally, branches of some other banks in the city and some other parts of the country also work for half a day on Sundays. This gives convenience to these people, who are not able to come during the week and remain free only on Sundays.
